Very, very frustrated from
What has happened to customer service!
We gave always been happy with Maytag until our last purchase of a dryer. On October 20 we ordered the dryer and paid in full at a furniture/appliance store. It was delivered three weeks later and when I started it to dry a load of clothes it had a strange clunking sound as if the drum was hitting the side of the machine. Phoned the appliance store the next morning. The owner came out to hear the noise and stated we had choices, we could either have it replaced or have a technician come and try to fix it. We stated we wanted a new machine. A co-owner phoned us a few days later and told us we had to phone Whirlpool. I thought that strange but did so. Was on hold for over 1 hour just to be told a technician had to come to our house. A technician came about a week later, took the dryer apart, and said he could not fix it. I then had to phone Whirlpool again, on hold again for over and hour, and was told that a Master technician would have to be contacted. The technician that was originally contact phoned and said Whirlpool wants him to replace a part in the dryer. We do not want the new dryer that we paid over $1000.00 for fixed. It was defective when delivered. We either want a new dryer delivered or a refund so we can go elsewhere. It is now December 15, we have company coming from the US for Christmas and would like this nightmare fixed. What has happened to customer service? p.s. I refuse to phone Whirlpool and be put on hold, sorry!

Great Dryer
Easy to use, large capacity tub, quiet... Drop front door takes a bit to get used to.

Poor dryer
I bought this dryer initially, and upon arrival, after installation, it literally blew up after i ran it once. It sparked and smoked. And then the drum never became hot. It remained cold, i could. Not dry ANY clothes at all. I then called customer service, and they were going to send a technician? And not even going to try to replace the dryer? What in my mind is now a possible liability that may blow up my living space they were going to send a technician? It already blew up, what a lemon this particular dryer was, and they wanted me to keep this possible death trap? I could not have this happen! I went back to the store where I originally purchased, and the salesperson whom I bought the dryer from told me to wait for the technician too?? And the salesperson asked if I emailed the company to let them know what happened? Intold the salesperson, i did not email the company but rather i wanted a replacement dryer, the salesperson was trying to give me a hard time to actually either wait for the technician or email the company. How insulted did i feel? I did not want to keep this lemon dryer! I wanted a replacement! Good thing i then spoke to the floor manager, this manager FINALLY understood the situation and was agreeable to send me a new replacement within the week at no cost delivery.
For the review of the replacement, it will have to wait until I receive another survey with that particular registration code.

Didn't even last 2 weeks
I bought this washer and dryer set 2 weeks ago, and the dryer already stopped working! It worked very well and I was so happy with it for the first few loads of laundry, but that's all I got out of it = a few loads of laundry. It would say it was drying and the time was counting down, however the drum was not turning nor was it drying any clothes. Very disappointed with this dryer and would not recommend.
