Simply one of the best units out there!
I bought this item 2 years ago.. it has not hiccupped! Unbelievable performance. a solid winner in my books.
*I do not know what people are ranting about a door switch failure.. ** they must be slamming or abusing the unit in some way. This microwave is one of the most solid units I have ever used. PLUS! it would be a smart idea to pay the extra $100.00 and get the extended warranty on ALL KITCHEN ITEMS! just to be safe like I did. ;)

Loved it until Magnetron webt
It was great. Came part of my appliance package of my house. The magnetron unfortunately went 6 years into using it. But otherwise loved it.

very sad fan
I just purchased this microwave at Hotchkiss Home Furnishings in Dartmouth NS. I love this store and what they sell. I had researched an amana before going there but then saw this microwave in store and I was sold. I trust the products they sell and the Maytag name so I never dug into the reviews, I was sure it would be a
fantastic product.
It reheats great, love having the ability to heat up two dishes at the same time.....but ...found out today that the fan sucks and not in the way it should. We do not have it vented to the outside but neither was the old Magic Chef that was over 10 years old. Unfortunately even on high the fan is only slightly removing steam that is coming from pots on the front burner.
