Rated 4 out of 5 by Peej80 from Time will tell! I have had this cooktop for 9 months and so far it is operating like expected. I like the side dials and the lack of major electronics. What I am not liking is the ceramic top which is hard to clean and never looked like new after using it even though I was meticulous about its care. As most appliance manufacturers have completely turned around their business model to produce cheap appliances at a high price that need to be replaced many times more often in order to equal the lifespan of appliances from the 70’s and 80’s, time will tell how much I really like this unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Denida from Interesting Features! Bought this cooktop for its features since I had a similar one in previous house for 14+ years (from different manufacturer). Moved in new home two and a half months ago. Have to get use of the control of the heat which is not so easy when starting using it. Found that the matching of the control knobs to the cooking surface is a little confusing to start with. Enjoy using the reversible grill and griddle, as I did from previous home, however if this one is not installed 'exactly' as it should, the anti-slippery rubber strip can easily touch the heating element resulting to a smell of burning rubber. Added photo showing a discoloring on the back burning--questioned if this is on the warranty? Tried removing it with the glass cooktop cleaner without success. The glass surface can scratch easily and is not so easy to keep sparkling clean (not like my previous JennAir). Would still recommend this product, while making aware of how to avoid my concerns. The bridge and the dual element is a plus. It is well priced.

While we like the maytag cooktop's knob controls, it seems it too is too hot. It also is very hard to clean. There always seems to be spots on it. We do like the bridge feature and the griddle/grill that came with it.

Right from the get go the upper left burner and bridge element did not function at all. Replacement part has been received and we are awaiting the install. Rather disappointing in a new appliance at this price point.
